BAKARE BACKS JONATHAN ON NATIONAL CONFERENCE, TACKLES TINUBU

- MO Agbajoh

Fellow Nigerians! When I read these things I can't help but shout and sing praise to The Most high, Our FATHER... For The Holy Book did say, “WHEN A MAN WAY PLEASES GOD, EVEN HIS ENEMIES WILL BE AT PEACE WITH HIM" Proverbs 16:7 KJV and here we are as Pastor Tunde Bakare who once prophesied against our amiable President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan whilst running as Vice President to General Buhari in the 2011 General Elections is suddenly in support of the President’s call for National Dialogue against the mouth lashing of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Bola Tinubu.

The Pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly and Convener of the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), Pastor Tunde Bakare, in an unusual way has welcomed the proposed national conference called by President Goodluck Jonathan, saying that if the nation does not talk before the next general elections, the country might cease to exist.
This is coming on the backdrop of President Jonathan’s careful consideration made by Nigerians for the need of calling a National Conference that focuses on discussions that makes us Nigerians with a view to looking at economic and regional strength and affiliations.

Bakare threw his heavyweight to confirm support for development at the launch of the Centre for Change in Lagos recently as he disclosed that Nigeria should be a model for not only Africa but the black race in general. Pastor Bakare who is a staunch critic of President Goodluck Jonathan, subtly endorsed the planned conference; this is rare and it is coming apparently at the right time in our national polity.

It gets more interesting as Pastor Bakare subtly criticized the National Leader of the All Progressive Change (APC), Mr. Bola Tinubu, for his stance in opposing the planned national conference by Mr. President. Calling the former Governor of Lagos State as “those that have being campaigning for the national conference in the past are now campaigning against it because tables have turned and they have benefited from the public treasury.”

According to Bakare, “Nigerians have wept and prayed, marched and protested, the time has now come for us to take our destiny in our hand and we must get set to rebuild and reconstruct from region to region.” So for Mr. Tinubu to repeatedly express his objection to the national conference is a clear cut that he’s not just an enemy of Mr. President but the entire country showing clear indication that him and his party are only concern about themselves and not the Peaceful coexistence.

Meanwhile, the proposed NATIONAL CONFERENCE will address amongst other things issues surrounding our National PEACE and SECURITY, strengthen Economic base and all round National Development. As clearly stated in the Independence Day Broadcast while announcing the constitution of an Advisory Committee to establish modalities for a National Conference; President Goodluck Jonathan (GCFR) disclosed that this process will give Nigerians the voice to discuss how they want to be governed amongst several other political and economic issues.
“Fellow Nigerians, our Administration has taken cognizance of suggestions over the years by well-meaning Nigerians on the need for a national dialogue on the future of our beloved country.

“When there are issues that constantly stoke tension and bring about friction, it makes perfect sense for the interested Parties to come together to discuss. In demonstration of my avowed belief in the positive power of dialogue in charting the way forward, I have decided to set up an advisory committee whose mandate is to establish the modalities for a National Dialogue or Conference. The Committee will also design a framework and come up with recommendations as to the form, structure and mechanism of the process.” President Jonathan in his Independent Day Nationwide wide broadcast said.

The Committee is headed by Dr. Femi Okurounmu as its Chairperson and Dr. Akilu Indabawa as its Secretary; they are expected to complete this assignment within One Month.

EVEN PA' AWO PREDICTED AN IJAW PRESIDENT IN 1983_Ebeneza Babatope Testified

-Mary Oyibocha-Agbajoh

HISTORY has never failed the quest for knowledge and Wisdom; Chief Ebenezer Babatope, @ his 70th Birthday, Jan, 2013 revealed Pa Awo's Prediction of God raising a President from the Ijaw enclave hence the coming of President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan (GCFR) was not ordinary but in fulfillment of God’s word for Nigeria.

Going by recent trend of Men of God from diverse denomination including the Catholic Cardinal His "Eminence" Anthony Olubunmi OKOJIE (RTD) asking President Jonathan to seek God first for his Second Term, I hope this Prediction by Pa Awolowo has finally put to final rest the "Hues & Cries" Thus, President Jonathan is On Point with his 2015 ambition SO NO SHAKING!

President Jonathan is a Man that has seen the ups and downs of His Career outside politics and inside politics. He has shown his strength by rising ahead of his immediate Community to aspire to be the Man that is leading the largest Africa Nation to a Greater height today. In September 18th 2010, President Jonathan having served as Vice President of Nigeria and with his wealth of experience in Good Governance officially declared his Presidential ambition with the famous ‘I HAVE NO SHOES’ slogan; that eventually became the word for most homes in Nigeria. As an encouraging phrase to describe a Man with No Shoes, growing up in a small Community in Bayelsa State to become Nigeria’s MOST favorite President and BEST ever had as a Nation.

HIS JOURNEY
President Jonathan’s journey so far in the politics of Nigeria cannot be unconnected with his background from his home State. As his name suggests, President Goodluck Jonathan has a habit of being in the Right place at the Right time; this led him to start his Political Career as Deputy Governor in Bayelsa State, with D.S.P. Alamieyeseigha as the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State. This recorded Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as the First Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State. He eventually became the Governor of the State and Transformed the living standard of the people and several developmental resulted were recorded.

During his tenure as Governor, President Jonathan showed that he is a Humane Administrator, amazingly "Simple" Minded Loved by his People, Friends and Colleagues in and outside the State.

In December 2006, Jonathan was nominated as running mate to Umaru Yar’Adua for the Ruling PDP Presidential Ticket in the April 2007 Election as he was busy preparing for Re-Election to his first full term as substantive Governor of Bayelsa State. After a keenly contested Election, the Yar’adua/Jonathan ticket Won, and on May 29, 2007, he was inaugurated as Nigeria’s Vice President.

President Jonathan assumed Office on February 9, 2010, as Nigeria’s Acting President by virtue of a National Assembly resolution empowering him as Acting President, following President Yar’Adua’s long absence for medical attention in Saudi Arabia. President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was Sworn-in as President becoming Nigeria’s 14th Head of State on May, 6, 2010 as President, Commander-in-chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria following the passing away of President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua on May 5, 2010. He cited anti-corruption, power and electoral reforms as focuses of his administration. He stated that he came to office under “very sad and unusual circumstances”.

President Jonathan on his formal declaration in 2011 said “'I was not born rich, and in My Youth, I never imagined that I would be where I am today, but not once did I ever give up. Not once did I imagine that a Child from Otuoke, a small village in the Niger Delta, will one day rise to the position of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I was raised by My Mother and Father with just enough money to meet our daily needs.

'In My early days in school, I had no shoes, no school bags. I carried my books in my hands but never despaired; no car to take me to school but I never despaired. There were days I had only one meal but I never despaired. I walked miles and crossed rivers to school every day but I never despaired. Didn't have Power, didn't have Generators, studied with Lanterns but I never despaired...

'In spite of these, I finished Secondary School, attended the University of Port Harcourt, and now hold a doctorate degree. 'My Story is the Story of a young Nigerian whose access to education opened up vast opportunities that enabled me to attain My present position. As I travel up and down Our Country,
I see a Nation blessed by God with rich Agricultural and Mineral Resources and an enterprising people. I see Millions of Nigerians whose potentials for greatness are constrained by the lack of basic infrastructure.
I see Nigerians who can make a difference in the service of their country but are disadvantaged by the lack of opportunities.

'My Story symbolizes My Dream for Nigeria. The Dream that any Nigerian Child from Kaura- Namoda to Duke town; from Potiskum to Nsukka, from Isale-Eko to Gboko will be able to realize his God-Given potentials, unhindered by tribe or religion and unrestricted by improvised political inhibitions.

'My Story holds out the promise of a NEW NIGERIA, A Nigeria built on the virtues of Love and Respect for one another, on Unity, on industry, on hard work and on Good Governance.

'My Fellow Nigerians, this is what has brought me to Eagle Square today. I have come to say to all of you, that Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan is the man you need to put Nigeria right. I have come to launch a campaign of ideas, not one of calumny. I have come to preach love, not hate. I have come to break you away from divisive tendencies of the past which have slowed our drive to true nationhood. I have no enemies to fight. You are all my friends and we share a common destiny'.

These things can only be by the Hands of God that has used men to predict his coming into Power. These are not words of a man that is not ready for business. How much more spiritual note do we need to confirm Gods hand is in President Jonathan’s Presidential Race?

Within these period, President Jonathan has Transformed the Economy of Nigeria, creating Jobs via the Federal Government YouWin initiative, constructing Roads, revived the former forgotten Railway Transportation system in Nigeria. Under President Jonathan, Corruption is being defeated to a standstill as this was witnessed in his bid to stop Fuel Subsidy in exposing those that have been benefiting from the scheme without supplying Petroleum products to Nigeria.

NO DOUBT, In the History of Nigeria, President Jonathan’s Achievement in Office has surpassed that of former Leaders; which have contributed to the yearning of Nigerians to seek for his Re-Election for President Come 2015.

'Fellow Nigerians, if I could Make it, you too CAN Make it'
