FAYOSE @56: Not returning evil with evil has given me continuous victory

...Says Nigeria yet to have the right leader, "Prepare to change the change," he tells Nigerians

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has said that not repaying evil for any evil done him has remained the secret of his continuous victory against all odds put on his way by enemies.

Fayose, who turns 56 on Tuesday added that total reliance on God was his power and nothing else. He cited a Biblical injunction to buttress his claims: " Phillipians Chapter 4 verse 13, says I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me. Jesus Christ is my strength. If I am talking, If I am heard, if I could not be cowed or suppressed,  If I am providing good governance to Ekiti people who elected me as their governor, If I am providing good leadership to people, it is because I have Christ as my strength and truly in him, I can do all things."

Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Idowu Adelusi, the Governor who reflected on the rough journey of his life while addressing members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly during a closed door meeting at the Government House in Ado Ekiti yesterday, said though his road had been bumpy but because he was a man of destiny he had never lost any battle: " Let this be known, I wasn't born with sliver spoon but with wood spoon in mouth, my struggle in the journey of life , founded on truth, hard work and ‎firm believe in God, landed me where I am today.

" I remember God telling me never to avenge, but do good to all manners of men.  In doing so, lies my victory and progress."

Fayose said his return to power was beyond human comprehension, saying the stone which was rejected by the builder became strong pillar of the house.

Governor Fayose who went down memory lane about the conspiracy of 2006 against him by the then members of the state House of Assembly which saw to his sudden, un-celebrated but undeserved exit from the seat of power by an impeachment later dismissed as illegitimate by the Supreme Court, admonishing  the current lawmakers, saying: "The traitors of yesterday, where are they now? God said in Psalm 68 verse 6, ...but the rebellious  dwell in dry land. God also said those who pay evil with evil, evil will never depart from their house. These messages are warnings to traitors, " he warned.

Speaking about his admirable performance in two years in office, Fayose said he had pact with Ekiti people to transform the state, adding that he had ideas up his sleeve but has been hampered by time and finance.

However, the Governor said: " I will complete the flyover, King's Market, Judiciary building, new governor's office, Ikere - Ado road dualisation and other projects going on at the local governments, " and urged Ekiti people to continue to support him and ignore the lies of APC about him.

Hitting hard at the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) party at the centre, he said: " Very soon, APC will explode and disintegrate because it was founded on deceit. If you are in PDP, you are a pen robber, but if you gate-crashed into APC, you become a saint automatically.‎ Within  one and half year, the APC government grounded the economy.

" Unfortunately, Muhammadu Buhari cannot find solution to hunger, unemployment, depressed economy and insecurity in the country because he is bereft of the ideas. Nigerians should brace up to change the change because the right leader, the right president is yet to come. What we have now is aberration, " the governor asserted.

BRIBERY: Amaechi Threatens To Retaliate Buhari, As Presidency Opens Investigation On Amaechi

Following what appeared as serialized exposure by the Justices of the federation of the involvement of Rotimi Amaechi in the attempt to subvert the judicial process, the President of the federation, General Mohammadu Buhari fell under the immense pressure from the international community to investigate the validity in the claims leveled by the Justices. To this end, the President instructed for a probe be launched into the activities as alleged by the Judges. The Judges had alleged that Amaechi attempted to bribe them in more than one occasion.

CORRUPT INTENT: #BBOG Disowns Hadiza Buhari Endowment Project

President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter. At the event, which was held on Monday, the Peace Corps of
Nigeria donated N3.5m to Africa Support and Empowerment Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organisation owned by Buhari-Bello as part of an endowment fund for the Chibok girls. “Bringbackourgirls” was inscribed boldly on the backdrop of the event.
But the advocacy group led by Oby Ezekwesili has disassociated itself from the event, promising to issue a response through its lawyer, Femi Falana.
In a statement signed by Ezekwesili and Aisha Yesufu, the group said the organisers of the event were trying to smear its hard-earned name.
The BBOG group emphasised that it was a self-funded movement, and not a money-making NGO.
“Following repeated enquiries from the media, we stumbled upon information of an event tagged ‘Official Inauguration and Signing of
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Chibok Girls Endowment Project’ organised by the ‘Peace Corps of Nigeria’ and
‘Africa Support and Empowerment Initiative,’ with Hadiza Buhari-Bello,” the statement read.
“We are shocked, perplexed and completely dumbfounded to see
the bold inscription of our hard-earned name, #BringBackOurGirls,
on the event’s backdrop. We state categorically that we are not party to the said event and have absolutely no information of its origin. We urge the general public to disregard attempts at linking our movement to this highly suspicious event.
“After 902 days of painstaking advocacy, it is disheartening and
unfortunate to suddenly see attempts, by external actors, to use it
for selfish purposes. We have carefully built our reputation as a
well-organised and disciplined global movement that is completely
self-funded.
“The deliberate decision, to remain funded by sacrificial contributions of members for our very negligible needs, is the reason we are solely a Citizens’ Movement, and not an NGO. It will be highly injurious to allow it be dragged in the mud at this point.
We therefore demand an immediate retraction and unreserved apology from the organisers.
“Together with our lawyers, Femi Falana & Co., we are considering
a response to this attempt to smear our movement. We call on the
general public and law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout
for unscrupulous persons who may already be/are planning similar
nefarious acts to deceive the local and international community.”
Speaking with newsmen, Onwuka Don Uche, National Secretary of
the NGO, said he tried to reach members of the BBOG group but
failed at every turn.
“I tried to contact members of the group, but I couldn’t reach any of
them,” he said.
“I dropped a message for Oby Ezekwesili on Twitter, but there was
no response. We will reach out to group. It is purely a fund for the
Chibok girls, and we want to make BBOG a signatory to the account.”

BUHARI WAS IN GERMANY FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT – Junaid Mohammed

With the dust yet to settle over an interview Aisha Buhari granted the British Broadcasting Corporation, a Second Republic lawmaker, Junaid Mohammed, has stated that the President’s recent trip to Germany was for medical reasons. Mohammed, a Russian-trained medical doctor, revealed this in an interview with SUNDAY PUNCH on Saturday.
Mrs. Buhari had accused an unnamed cabal, made up of individuals who were not part of the struggle for Buhari’s emergence as president, of having hijacked the Presidency.
Expressing her frustration, Mrs. Buhari threatened not to support any attempt by her husband to re-contest in 2019 if things do not change.
Mohammed alleged that the president’s handlers were making similar mistakes committed by those who served as close advisers to ex-President Umaru Yar’Adua.
According to him, Buhari was in Germany to receive treatment for an undisclosed ailment but his handlers arranged a state visit in an attempt to mask the truth.
Mohammed said, “The reason the president travelled to Germany was not what it was advertised to be. The trip is basically a medical trip. It was undertaken for medical reasons. It was only converted to a state visit as an afterthought and that tells you the level of contempt the handlers of the president have for Nigerians. We blamed the handlers of Yar’Adua for the way they kept his ailment secret.
“Now, Nigerians have a big surprise awaiting them. They have not been told the truth about the real state of the man’s (Buhari) health. He is our president. Nigerians elected him into office and we must never allow individuals to play with our intelligence and do something stupid and dangerous to our country. I hope and pray that next time, the Nigerian people would be told the truth. It’s a medical trip; they (handlers) issued statements to camouflage the real reason behind the trip.”
The former lawmaker stated that those behind the cover-up did not love the president more than Nigerians who voted him into office.
Mohammed also accused those criticising Mrs. Buhari of hypocrisy.
He pointed out that although most of the people would not like to admit it, a good number of them including members of the All Progressives Congress who have been denied access to Buhari, had taken their case to her as a last resort.
“The president’s wife as far as I am concerned, did not speak out for any personal gain. She has her husband’s best interest at heart. I have no doubt she is in touch with ordinary Nigerians and enjoys the confidence of many and she chose to speak for them. Although she exercised a lot of restraint by refusing to name names, we all know that Mamman Daura does not have a voter card,” he said.

In a press conference with the German leader in Berlin, President Buhari in what might be perhaps his most stupid political blunder yesterday in Germany, in answering a reporters question on the role of his wife in his government, has this to say..." _my wife belongs in my Kitchen and in my living room and other room_"

... what a statement!  That was politically incorrect.

The ill adviced President totally forgot that he is standing next to  a woman who is a world leader.
Here in Germany as in the rest of Europe, the issue of women's right is a delicate one as women have come a long way fighting inequality in both society and at work place. Without warning, a visibly angry Mrs Merkel  (the German Chancellor) quickly ended the press conference to save the President further embarrassment.
The emancipation of women in Europe is a civil rights issue, that is why feminist groups in Germany immediately reacted to his outing as a hate speech and demanded his exit from their territory. A German opposition leader called for his immediate expulsion from Germany, while a renowned German newspaper in its editorial, has this to say about our President.
_He is simply a dumb leader, hailed as the Messiah of Africa's most populous democracy  after winning election in 2015 His agenda of fighting corruption which was given a blessing by the West, especially former colonial master, England is very unpopular in his country as citizens are more concerned about the economic hardship and joblessness to his fight for financial recovery_.
