BLESSING OKAGBARE FLYING NIGERIA HIGH...




DELTA STATE "Sports Loving" Governor Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan (CON) has congratulated Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare who won a Silver Medal in the Long Jump event of the 14th Edition of the Athletics World Championships (IAAF) on Sunday 11th of August, in Moscow, Russia.

Congratulating her giant achievement, Dr. Uduaghan said “I congratulate you for this great Honour that you have done for Nigeria. We are proud of you. I wish you luck in your remaining events,”

Meanwhile, it will be recalled that Blessing Okagbare is one of the Star Athletes groomed by the Delta State Government under the leadership of Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan amongst who are making waves in globally in athletics.

This is the First time a Nigerian would win a Medal in the World Championships since 1999 when Gloria Alozie and Francis Obikwelu won Silver and Bronze in Hurdles and 200.m in Spain respectively.


This remarkable achievement by Blessing has shown that Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s effort to reposition #DELTA BEYOND OIL is gradually paying off. And with his love for Sports and continued support for Sporting activities in Delta State,

A New Wave of Sports achievement is nearer than imagined.
