Nigeria is witnessing yet another round of glorious beginning for Ex-Militants in the Niger Delta Region as some of them have been sent to Germany to undertake Training on Piloting Planes.

These Youths under the Presidential Amnesty Programme, left Nigeria for further Training in Lufthansa, Germany. This has gone to show President Goodluck Jonathan’s love for development and Peaceful conduct in the Region.

Mr. Kinsley Kuku, the amiable coordinator of this programme has overtime shown maturity and sincerity in handling such a crucial project for the betterment of Nigeria and the Niger Delta Region. Recently, Kuku disclosed that the Training was part of the efforts of the Federal Government to ensure development in the country.

The Pilots had previously undergone Training in Afrika Union Aviation Academy in Mafikeng, South Africa, before proceeding to Lufthansa Pilot Training Institute in Germany for a 14-Month Training in Airline Transport Pilot.

In his words “This is one of the benevolent kindnesses of the President Goodluck Jonathan to Nigerian Youths. When we started, too many people did not believe that the trainings could be possible but it is. The Pilots have come from Nothing to become Something now. It is part of the President’s impact in the development of Nigeria. Most of the beneficiaries of the programme are from the State under the Niger Delta Region

“I want you to go there to compete with the world, be serious and do Everything right You have done it when it seems impossible so advancing shouldn’t be a problem.”

The Pilots, however, commended the Federal Government for the initiative. One of them, Ngozi Idigbe said, “It is a good Training. Though as the only female, I face some competitions from the males but my previous experience in South Africa Training School gives me confidence that I can do Better.”
