EID-EL-KABIR...

EID AL-ADHA (Arabic: عيد الأضح ‘Id al-’Adhá)], "Feast of Sacrifice" or Feast of the Sacrifice or Greater Eid, is an important Religious Holiday celebrated by Muslims Worldwide to Honor the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his Son Isma'il (Ishmael) as an act of obedience to God, before God intervened to provide him with a sheep to sacrifice instead. The Festival is also known as Id-ul-Zuha. The word "id" derived from the Arabic "iwd" means "Festival" and "Zuha" comes from "uzhaiyya" which translates to "sacrifice".
Ibrahim (Abraham) went beyond his wish in Obedience to the commandment of Allah to sacrifice his only Son Isma'il to the will of Allah, and that single act brought about abundant blessings to Ibrahim and today he is been reckoned with and celebrated Worldwide by Moslems. This ofcourse is indeed a lesson not for Moslems alone but the entire Nation. For it is time we put behind whatever betides us and live Peacefully among Ourselves,
As the Religion of Islam depicts PEACE. Eid ka bir is another time for Sober reflection, SACRIFICE & Peaceful Co-existence amongst Moslem Faithfuls around the World Hence, it is very imperative that we imbibe and key into this HOLY Feast of Sacrifice as i enjoin Nigerians to extend LOVE to their NEIGHBOURS 4 Love strengthens UNITY.
HAPPY EID-EL-KABIR...
