Indeed the HOUR has come for Nigerians to Pray for Our Nation knowing fully well that without GOD there shall be No TRANSFORMATION... and especially now that the "HEAD" President GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN is calling on All Nigerians to Pray urging Nigerians to emulate the selflessness exemplified by Christ, saying that the Nation can only attain the lofty heights, which Almighty God through Nigeria's rich Natural ENDOWMENTS & Human Resource base has preordained for it,
"If ONLY Nigerians as individuals are prepared to make the requisite Sacrifice."

Thus, Championing Narrow Sectional Causes would not add value to National Development efforts.

No doubt, the JONATHAN-led Administration was Voted into Office #2011 by overwhelming majority of Nigerians that cut across Ethnic, Social, Cultural & even beyond Political Barriers, Then it's Our collective responsibility to support this Administration & Make it WORK!

BEHOLD! in a time like this when President Jonathan has conceded that neither He nor other Members of Government are the BEST Materials for the Leadership Job of Our Great Country NIGERIA but since God has Chosen him ,

PRESIDENT JONATHAN RENEWS CALL ON RELIGIOUS LEADERS TO PRAY FOR THE PEACE AND STABILITY OF NIGERIA

President Goodluck Jonathan has again called on religious leaders in the Country to remain steadfast in their prayers for the peace and stability of the Nation.
President Jonathan made the call while speaking at the 2nd session of the First Synod of the Diocese of Ogbia, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion at Otuoke in Ogb Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.G

Describing the theme of the Synod as apt, the President who was represented by Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa state reaffirmed his belief that political power comes from God.

Dr.Jonathan who thanked Christians in the country for their continued prayers and support to his administration, expressed the hope that the country would soon overcome its current challenges including insecurity.

The President supported the Cathedral project of the Ogbia Diocese with a donation of N2 million.
Governor Dickson also donated an additional N2 million on behalf of the State Government.
Earlier presenting his charge, the Bishop of the Ogbia Diocese, Right Reverend James Aye Oruwori urged Nigerians to put their total trust in God to bring about positive transformation in the country.

Bishop of the Diocese of Ogbia, Right Reverend James Oruwori made the call while delivering his charge at the first synod of the Diocese at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government area of the state.

Speaking on the theme, “Not by Might, nor by Power, but by My Spirit”, Bishop Oruwori attributed the country’s political and socio-economic woes to corruption, which he noted invades every facet of the nation including the church.
The Cleric also expressed worry over the deploring condition of the nation’s highways and called on the relevant government agencies particularly the Federal Ministry of Works to measure up to the expectations of the citizenry.

While condemning the volatile security situation in the country especially the northern part of the country, Bishop Oruwori however lauded President Goodluck Jonathan for his stable disposition and sincere efforts at ensuring peaceful co-existence as well as support to the church.
