Hence, The Delta Micro Finance Scheme is definitely hitting the Benchmark as is fulfilling its purpose already with more than 100,000 Deltans emerging Beneficiaries of the Scheme Yearly, this Initiative is geared towards improving the lifestyle of Deltans and also promoting the Entrepreneurship Spirit which will further act as a means of Employment, Income generation and economic Booster.

Also in a bid to create Jobs for her teeming population the Delta State Government has resolved in setting up INDUSTRIES with High standards and International best practice. No WonderThe AGRICULTURAL Sector is also not left out in this Transformation as modalities have been put in placed already for large Scale farming and output with strict partnership with the FG Agricultural Transformation Initiative.

Delta State Micro Credit Scheme records 100,000 beneficiaries Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta said that the state Micro Credit Scheme had recorded nearly 100,000 beneficiaries.
The governor made this known while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Asaba.
Uduaghan said that of N1 billion had been allocated to the micro credit scheme in the 2013 budget proposal. He further said that the state government had concluded plans to establish 10 industries which would promote the growth of small and medium scale enterprises next year
He said that industries would include four fish feeds’ mills and six cassava-processing plants. He stressed that the industries would be managed by private investors, as part of efforts to make them viable and efficient.
Describing the scheme as spectacular, Uduaghan said: We believe we could harness our people’s entrepreneurship skills through our micro credit scheme, while nurturing small and medium scale enterprises.
“Other states are studying the Delta State model because of its acknowledged success,” he added.
